1. The Ole Miss Rebels failed to make the title game for the XLXI’st year in a row — the longest current championship drought amongst all professional teams in any sport.

2. Low expectations almost always lead to a more exciting Super Bowl. Who thought Super Bowl XVI’s halftime performer, Up With People, would live up to the amazing hype of Super Bowl XIV’s halftime extravaganza — coincidentally, also Up With People? But, as we all know now, they Crushed It.

3. All that to say, Lady Gaga’s half time show should be better than you think. We’re not huge fans or Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, though we did kinda like her meat suit — but we were trying this low-carb diet my urologist had recommended at the time.

4. If you haven’t seen the movie Ted 2, you might want to catch it before the game. Spoiler Alert: (Marky) Mark Wahlberg and a teddy bear attempt to give Tom Brady a hand job. Vegas odds say that Roger Goodell is a 3 point favorite to reenact the scene during Sunday night’s post-game show on live television.
