It’s a sair ficht for half a loaf.

Even in a growing economy, (semi) naked capitalism determines winners and losers in cruel terms.  So you probably didn’t get any announcements from the Chamber of Commerce proclaiming Lang may yer lum reek after the closing this week of a one-time Fayetteville hot spot:

The Tilted Kilt.

Despite hiring more Journalism undergrads than most public relations firms, the restaurant that represented rigidly authentic Scottish culture had to learn the hard way that it’s a competitive market place if you want to be a Hooters gateway-drug in this tough city.

It has been suggested by a select few members that – to mourn the economic loss – we gather today at an establishment that features hunky young Scots in shrunk-to-fit jeans. This is the best we could do:

Powerhouse Seafood & Grill – 4:30 to 6:30
112 N University Ave.

Editors note: We considered photo shopping the Tilted Kilt calendar composite with the faces of FADA female regulars. Unfortunately, the family law attorney my wife keeps on retainer suggested that would be a very, very bad idea.
