We Got a New Art School!

Big news this week!  One of our local quatrillionaires made a $126 million donation to fund a new Art School at the University of Arkansas. The largest financial gift ever given to an Art School was made entirely out of change found in their lint trap.

This philanthropic investment fulfills the most pressing economic need currently facing the region's fastest growing industry -- a dearth of highly trained coffee baristas with scarce practical skills or economic mobility.

If you interested in participating in the Fall Semester Nude Figure Drawing Classes at the yet-to-be-named Alice Walton School of Arts & Crafts, unfortunately all modeling slots filled up as soon as open enrollment was announced. By Phil Maynard. Coincidentally, student enrollment for said classes are completely wide open. Completely.

One programming note: This weekend is Rootsfest. We don't want to say anything that may be perceived as snide or derogatory about this truly fantastic civic event. That said, Bikes Blues and BBQ is coming up in about a month, and we're probably going to say some really horrible, somewhat untrue things about Blassingame the Friday before.

So in an effort to preemptively provide equal time, we make this public service announcement:  If you see anyone dancing around the drum circle like it's Burning Man for Well-Healed Hipsters, call Allyson and tell her its time to put Mike to bed. Thanks in advance.
